Chicago-Based Lava Lite Celebrates Inauguration of Windy City Resident Barack Obama as Nation’s 44th President with Commemorative Lamp.
Elmhurst, IL – January 12, 2009 -- Lava Lite LLC, manufacturers of the iconic Lava Lamp, today announced the introduction of a special collector’s edition Inaugural Lava Lamp featuring President-elect Barack Obama.
“As fellow Windy city residents, we wanted to commemorate Barack Obama’s historic presidency with a special edition Lava Lamp,” said Larry Gutkin, chief executive officer, Lava Lite LLC. “We believe this lamp captures Mr. Obama’s charisma and optimism, which are reinforced with the words “Yes We Can” on the back of the lamp. The custom designed resin base and cap feature three dimensional stars, stripes and bunting in a patriotic red, white and blue color scheme. A color photograph of a smiling President elect Obama, set against a blue and red background, is framed in a star rimmed medallion set in the center of the Lava Lamp base.
Topping the base is the distinctive Lava Lamp globe, containing a proprietary formula of blue liquid and white wax. The commemorative package, a colorful red and blue cylinder, complements the Special Edition Obama Lava Lamp. |
